Read Any Good Books Lately?

The Eyre Affair – Jasper Fforde.  Imagine an alternate universe where books literally come to life and you have some sense of what this whimsical, pun-filled world is all about!  The more you enjoy literature, the funnier it is.

The Fifth Discipline: The Art & Practice of The Learning Organization – Peter M. Senge.  A dry, academic, yet nonetheless fascinating read about the nature of business administration and how an organization can ‘learn’.

Identity Crisis – DC Comics.  Comic books do not make me cry.  This one almost did.  You don’t need to know the history of the DC universe to appreciate this very human story.

The Satanic Bible – Anton Szandor LaVey.  Don’t let the title fool you.  This is an unrelenting, brutally honest, and ultimately atheistic voyage into the darker, self-centered side of the human psyche.

The New Moosewood Cookbook – Mollie Katzen.  Easy, healthy vegetarian recipes that will appeal to even the most carnivorous palate.

The Sandman – Neil Gaiman.  Tanya’s pick!  This graphic novel series about the king of dreams is easily one of the best to come out in the last 20 years. Be warned – this isn’t kiddie stuff.

Bored Of The Rings – Harvard Lampoon.  Another suggestion from Tanya.  If you can find this book and don’t mind a healthy dose of irreverence, this send-up of the Lord of the Rings series is quite the read.
